When to Arrive at a Rave

The optimal arrival time for different types of nights, from 23:00 warm-up to 02:00 headliner.

When to Arrive at a Rave

A common question from new ravers: when do I actually show up? The answer depends on what you want from the night. Here is the practical breakdown.

If you want to enjoy the build

Arrive at doors or within the first hour. The 22:00 to 00:00 slot is when the warm-up DJs do real work setting the room temperature. Skipping it means missing the gradual energy build that makes the peak hit harder. This is what experienced heads do.

If you only want the peak

Arrive at 01:30. The headliner usually plays the 02:00 to 04:00 slot. Skip the warm-up if you must, but do not arrive after the headliner has been playing for an hour. Joining mid-headliner means missing the structural arc of their set.

The middle ground

00:30 to 01:00 is the optimal compromise. Crowd is warmed up but not exhausted. You catch the second support DJ at the energy build and the headliner from the start. Most regulars time their arrival here.
