The Baltic capitals all run public transport until midnight, sometimes 01:00 on weekends. SELECTA nights run until 04:00 or later. You do the math. Here is how the experienced crowd handles the gap.
Option 1: Bolt or Yandex
Both apps work in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. Surge pricing kicks in around 03:30 and lasts until 05:30. A 5km ride that costs 8 euros at midnight can cost 18 euros at 04:00. Plan for it.
Option 2: Group rides
Most ravers split a ride 3-4 ways. The SELECTA Telegram group and Instagram stories regularly have people coordinating shared rides for after-parties. Join the group, post your destination, save 70% on the fare.
Option 3: The night bus, if it exists
Tallinn runs a weekend night bus network until 03:30 (lines starting with the letter "N"). Riga and Vilnius have similar but smaller networks. Cheaper than a taxi but the routes are limited.
Option 4: Walk
In all three Baltic capitals, most clubs are within walking distance of central residential areas. A 30-minute walk at 04:00 with the right group is one of the best parts of the night. Especially in summer. Especially after a good set.
How to be a useful ride buddy
Pay your share in cash on the spot. Do not ask the driver to wait while you say goodbye to people. Do not eat smelly food in the car. Tip 10% if the driver was patient with your friends. The driver community talks to each other. Be the passenger they want again.
