Vilnius nightlife has had a tougher five years than Tallinn or Riga. Several venues that programmed DnB regularly closed for reasons ranging from real-estate development to financial collapse. The scene did not die, it reshaped.
What closed
Two of the smaller dedicated club spaces shut down between 2020 and 2023. Loftas survived but reduced its DnB programming during the same period. The capacity for regular DnB programming halved over five years.
What replaced them
Pop-up programming in unusual venues. Bars that had not hosted club nights before. Festival-style daytime events that worked around the lack of overnight venue infrastructure. The scene became more itinerant.
The audience held
Despite venue churn, the Vilnius audience for DnB held steady. People travelled to the events even when the venue was unfamiliar. That loyalty is what kept the scene alive while the infrastructure rebuilt.
