In DnB, "VIP" does not mean "VIP ticket" or "VIP guest". It means something specific to the music itself.

The actual meaning

A VIP is a producer's own personal-use version of one of their released tracks. Usually a different mix, sometimes a different arrangement, often heavier or more dancefloor-focused than the original. Made for DJ use, sometimes never commercially released.

How you encounter it

In a setlist or tracklist as "(VIP)" appended to the track name. When you hear a familiar track at a SELECTA night that sounds slightly different from the version you know, it might be the VIP. Worth recognising.
