Quick Read: What Does It Mean to "Rinse" a Track?

When DJs say they "rinsed" a track, they are using a specific piece of UK DnB vocabulary.

The meaning

To rinse a track is to play it heavily in multiple sets over a period of time. A DJ who "rinses" the latest Mefjus release means they are dropping it in every set for the next few weeks. The term originated with UK pirate radio culture and stayed in the vocabulary.

How to use it

Casually. "That tune is a rinser" means a track that DJs will play heavily. "I have been rinsing this all week" means a track is currently in heavy rotation in your own listening. Light slang, used often.
